Royal Anglian Regiment Parade through Diss

On Wednesday 7th November the children from KS2 were lucky enough to join the spectators welcoming the Royal Anglian Regiment home from Afganistan.  The regiment have been given 'Freedom of Diss'.  Thousands of people turned out to show their support and it was also featured on the local news that evening (try iplayer if you missed it!).  I think a lot of the adults found the parade very emotional as a lot of the soldiers seemed very young.  Of course there is also the sadness that not all of the regiment came home.
